Nima Naraghi

Center Director

I am the Center Director at STEMatics Academy in Arlington Heights. I have a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering and am currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. With over 15 years of teaching experience—12 of which have been dedicated to my favorite subjects, math and physics. I've worked with students from kindergarten to college and from over 20 different countries. My goal is to integrate my background in engineering with my experience in teaching Math and Physics to help students not only understand these subjects but also see their real-world applications. I am passionate about solving challenging problems and helping others appreciate the beauty of these subjects.

Technology Tutor

As a Technology Tutor at STEMatics Academy, I have a BS in Computer Science with a focus and minor in Information Technology Security. As a cybersecurity professional with many years of hands on experience, I tutor coding and technology—from Python and JavaScript to web development, and Linux—with a hands-on, project-based approach. My sessions are structured, step-by-step, and tailored to your goals, whether you’re launching your first app, strengthening problem-solving skills, or learning general coding and programming basics. Expect real-world examples, clean explanations, and a focused plan that helps you learn faster, think critically, and build confidence.

Atousa Bahrami

Atousa Bahrami

Science Tutor

As the Science Tutor at STEMatics Academy, I hold an MS in Neurobiology from Northwestern and am currently pursuing my PhD in Neurological Sciences, where my research focuses on neurodegenerative disease. Alongside my research, I have several years of teaching and mentoring experience, ranging from assisting students in college courses to guiding them in the laboratory. My goal is to combine my scientific background with my passion for teaching to make subjects like biology, chemistry, and physics approachable, engaging, and relevant. I enjoy helping students not only master the material but also understand how science connects to the world around them. I am especially passionate about building students’ confidence, encouraging curiosity, and inspiring them to see science as both exciting and achievable.
